Of course we find apple blossoms on apple trees in the spring and apples in the fall. Each of these symbolises and represents something that we stand for.
Apple - most often the fruit associated with the fall of mankind. The apple symbolises that each and every one of of us is subjected to temptations and is a fallen being. We all sin, and we all need the restoration that only comes from God, through Jesus Christ.
The apple also represents the fruit of the spirit, found in Galatians 5:22-23, all qualities that we should strive for.
Blossom - grows in the Spring, signifies new growth, new birth, and the promise of what's to come.
Tree - Mark 7:17 talks about the trees that produce good fruit. That's what we strive to do. The tree is also firmly rooted. It is our desire to be firmly rooted in God's word - the Holy Bible.
Matthew 5:20 also says this: "So then, you will know them by their fruits." We want to be known for and by our good fruit.
Apple Blossom Ministries was created to help women to grow in their faith, or even discover their faith, in Jesus Christ.

Hi! My name is Shelley MacKenzie and I live in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada with my husband, step-son, and our cat, Stubby.
I’m a follower of Jesus Christ, Christian blogger, writer and some day speaker. My goal here is to help teach women (Christian and non-Christian) get to know Jesus better. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies, and a Bachelor of Education degree in Elementary Education.
I believe that the Holy Bible is God's Word, that it is "God-breathed". I believe in the God of the Holy Bible who sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins. I believe Jesus was raised from the dead three days later and is alive, now, in Heaven with our Father. I believe that God sent the Holy Spirit to continue the work of Jesus Christ and that He is with us, convicting (not condemning) us of our sins. I believe that by asking forgiveness honestly, that I am forgiven. I believe that Jesus is the ONLY way to the God and I am declaring this before mankind. I believe that because of my belief in who Jesus is (John 3:16), I am a child of God and my final destination is Heaven.
I attend Deep Water Church in Halifax, Nova Scotia, though this site is not affiliated with my home church. I believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ (His son) the Messiah, and the Holy Spirit. I help out in various ministries such as the coffee bar, prayer team, and communion server. I also help my husband lead our Celebrate Recovery program where I am the female ministry leader, and small group leader for the women's codependency/depression/anxiety group.
